Dr. Moshood Olatinwo is currently the medical director of Summit ObGyn at 655 Bienville Circle of Natchitoches LA. He is also an adjunct associate professor in the department of Obstetrics and gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine.
Prior to his current position, Olatinwo was an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at University of South Alabama College of Medicine and the Director of Obesity clinic at USA Center for Women’s Health in Mobile, Alabama. In addition, Olatinwo has served as assistant professor and deputy director of residency training in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He also served as a research fellow for the Cooperative Center for Research in Reproductive Science at Morehouse.
Olatinwo earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, completed residency training at State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a Galloway fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y. In addition to his training in the United States, Olatinwo also completed training internationally, including a fellowship as a British Council Scholar at the University of Sheffield’s department of obstetrics and gynecology in Sheffield, England, and as a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons at Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria.
More recently, Olatinwo was a presenter at the National Institutes of Health conference on Reproductive Problems in Women of Color in July 2009. Proceedings of that conference were recently published in “Fertility and Sterility,” a publication of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. His clinical focus is in providing comprehensive women’s reproductive health services with a special interest in the management of the reproductive consequences of obesity. Olatinwo is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology, the American Society for the Study of Reproductive Medicine, the Endocrine Society and the Society for the Study of Reproduction.
